A company thinks that the wear and tear on the titanium
tools involves prohibitive costs. These cutting tools
are designed for the machining of metal parts. |

Micropowdering of the cutting tool. |

Measured results: |
|
Abrasion test with standardized oil concentration: the
service life of the tool is doubled. If the oil
concentration is increased to 20%, the service life of
the tool increases to 175 %. These values enhance the
productivity gains in connection with frequency of
cutting tool change and purchase costs of cutting tools. |
Aluminium sector

Problem referred to TECNOLUB: |

A company experiences some problems with aluminium
sticking to the saws. This phenomenon is due to the heat
during the cutting of billets. These are saws of large
diameters. |

Applied solution: |
|
Microlubrication fork over the width of the tooth (2
dimensions) and depth (3rd dimension) of the
blade. TECNOLUB has also developed a specific lubricant
to meet the customer’s needs.
In the extrusion of profiles, micropowdering of cutting
tools to the prevent deposit of oil and the risk of
carbonization during annealing. Finally, application of
a second specific oil, marketed by TECNOLUB.
During production (e.g., veranda structures),
application of micropowdering to single machines
(drilling-boring machines, tapping, threading, …) and
machining centres. |

Measured results: |
|
No deposits of oil on billets, since traces of oil
occurring in extrusion may cause problems with
homogeneity. The temperature of the tool is controlled,
thus preventing the aluminium from sticking and thus
limiting wear and tear of the tools. |
Construction sector

A company produces decorative bricks and slabs,
requiring a substantial consumption of oil and the
protection of work areas. The oil film must be perfectly
uniform in order to avoid unevenness in the concrete. |

Applied solution: |
|
Process-specific micropowdering system on the brick
conveyor allowing the elimination of all the protective
systems in the work zone while applying a uniform
coating of oil. |

Measured results: |
|
The working conditions are now much improved, oil
consumption is reduced and the shop is better organized
(rationalization of available workspace). |
Agri-foodstuffs sector

An agri-foodstuffs company wants to improve control of
the dispersion of atomized sweetened alcohol on pralines
and marzipan. Atomization is uncontrolled, creating an
alcohol-charged atmosphere in the factory and affecting
the behaviour of the personnel. In Summer, atomization
is executed outdoors. This situation is in violation of
the relevant food quality standards. |

construction sector

A company
active in the metal-forming sector for the construction
of parts for different vehicles, is planning to:

the lubrication of sheet metal shaped in a completely
protected 1 000 tonne automatic press
v control
the distribution of 4 lubricants of different
viscosities (ISO 10 to ISO 460).

the g weight per m² of the deposited oil (4 g/m² to 30
g/m²).
v keep
the site clean for reasons of industrial health and
safety. |

automation of low-pressure micropowdering using a
specially designed ramp,

control of different powdering widths according to the
profile (100 mm to 1 400 mm),

The lubrication system is totally dedicated to the
press. Maintenance is ensured by modem. The savings on
lubricants is substantial (-80%). The system is capable
of handling 4 000 different references. |
